Description

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain excess fat, then mix in ricotta, salt, pepper, and half of the mozzarella.
  4. Fill each shell with the beef mixture and place seam-side up in the baking dish.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
