Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce, washed and leaves separated
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 slices white or whole-grain bread

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy (about 5-7 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
  2. Toast the bread slices until golden brown. For added flavor, butter each slice before toasting.
  3. Slice tomatoes into thick rounds and prepare the lettuce leaves.
  4. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  5. Layer one slice with bacon, followed by tomato slices and lettuce leaves. Top with another slice of bread (mayo-side down) and press gently to secure.
  6. Cut diagonally and serve immediately with chips or pickles.
