  • ½ cup tahini
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (whole or almond)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
  6. Divide the batter into two bowls: stir tahini into one bowl while leaving the other chocolatey.
  7. Pour batters alternately into the loaf pan and use a knife to swirl them gently.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow cooling slightly before removing from pan to cool completely on a wire rack.
