- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until blended.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until just combined.
- In another bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread half the batter in the pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top.
- Dollop remaining batter over the cinnamon layer and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon mixture. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and set in the middle.
