Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked; drain excess fat. Stir in half of the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the baking dish, then layer noodles, half the meat mixture, dollops of ricotta cheese, and mozzarella. Repeat twice more.
  5. Top with remaining marinara sauce and a final layer of mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
