Description

Cordon bleu casserole is a comforting, crowd-pleasing dish that combines tender chicken, savory ham, and creamy Swiss cheese, all baked to perfection in a rich sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 8 oz thinly sliced ham
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; place half in the baking dish.
  3. Layer with half of the ham and Swiss cheese; repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, chicken broth, and Dijon mustard; pour over layered ingredients.
  5. Top with panko breadcrumbs for crunch.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown; let cool slightly before serving.
