Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh kale, chopped
  • 1 cup goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup crispy capers
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion in olive oil until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Stir in chopped kale and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg until wilted but bright green.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream and eggs. Fold in the sautéed kale mixture and crumbled goat cheese.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry into a tart pan and trim edges. Pour in the filling evenly.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and set. Let cool slightly before topping with crispy capers.
