  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 8 oz sliced cremini or button mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup dry Marsala wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F). Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms and garlic for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  4. Pour in Marsala wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release browned bits. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; return chicken to the skillet to soak up flavors for a few more minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
