Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower (about 1 lb), cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare cauliflower florets by cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Set up three bowls: one with flour mixed with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; another with almond milk; and the last filled with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Dip each floret in the flour mixture, then in almond milk, and finally coat generously in panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat and fry each floret until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Drain excess oil on paper towels before serving hot.
