  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes with juices
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté diced onions and minced garlic until softened (about 3 minutes).
  3. In the crockpot, combine browned beef, sautéed onions and garlic, canned tomatoes (with juices), kidney beans, chili powder, and beef broth; stir well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
