Ingredients

  • 8 oz whole milk
  • 4 oz high-quality dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces.
  2. In a medium saucepan, gently heat the whole milk over medium heat until steaming, but do not boil.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and sugar.
  4. Once the milk is steaming, reduce the heat and slowly add the chopped chocolate, stirring continuously until melted.
