Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Slice the onions and mince the garlic.
- Sear the short ribs in a large pot over medium-high heat until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, caramelize sliced onions over medium heat for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Deglaze the pot with red wine, scraping up any browned bits.
- Return short ribs to the pot, add beef broth and thyme, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours until meat is tender.
- Toast baguette slices under the broiler until golden brown.
