Instructions

- In a bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before frosting if desired.
