  • 3 large egg whites (90g)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (50g)
  • Gel food coloring (to preference)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (115g)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together almond flour and powdered sugar into a bowl.
  3. In a clean mixing bowl, whisk egg whites until foamy; gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in the dry mixture and food coloring until just combined.
  5. Pipe heart shapes onto prepared baking sheets; tap sheets to release air bubbles.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until feet form; cool completely before filling with buttercream or ganache.
