Ingredients

  • 8 oz dark chocolate (60% cocoa or higher)
  • 4 oz white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract

Instructions

  1. Melt dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Mix in 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract.
  2. Pour melted dark chocolate onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread evenly. Let cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Melt white chocolate using the same method as before, mixing in another 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract after melting.
  4. Pour white chocolate over the dark layer and gently swirl together with a spatula for marbling.
  5. Before the white chocolate sets, sprinkle crushed candy canes on top and press down lightly.
  6. Allow to cool at room temperature or refrigerate until firm, then break into pieces.
