Description

Experience a taste of Italy with this Italian Chicken Panini, featuring succulent chicken, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil, all pressed between golden, crusty sourdough. Perfect for lunch or dinner, this delightful sandwich is quick to prepare and sure to impress your family and friends.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by patting the chicken dry and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Spread olive oil on one side of each slice of sourdough. On the un-oiled side, layer mozzarella cheese, cooked chicken, and basil leaves.
  4. Preheat your panini press or skillet over medium heat. Grill the assembled sandwich for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before slicing in half to enjoy.
