  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 can (28 oz) whole San Marzano tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  5. In a pot over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Add baked meatballs to the sauce and let them simmer together for an additional five minutes before serving.
