  • 1 cup whole milk (240ml), warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (56g), melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit for 10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Stir in melted butter and egg; gradually add flour and salt until combined.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Punch down the dough, divide into equal pieces, and shape into rounds.
  6. Arrange rolls in a greased baking pan close together; let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
