  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup full-fat milk (warm)
  • 1 cup raisins or currants (soaked)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • Extra butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until slightly hot, then combine flour, sugar, and yeast in a bowl.
  2. Gradually add the warm milk while mixing to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. Punch down the dough and fold in softened butter, raisins/currants, and cinnamon.
