  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • For coating: 1/4 cup granulated sugar mixed with zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, melted butter, lemon juice, and zest until smooth.
  5. Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fill the donut pan about two-thirds full with batter.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly then toss in the lemon-sugar coating.
