Description

  • 8 oz low-moisture mozzarella string cheese (about 12 sticks)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Set up three bowls: one with seasoned flour (salt and pepper), another with beaten eggs, and the last with panko breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning.
  2. Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.
  3. Freeze the coated sticks for 30 minutes to set.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) for frying or preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Fry for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown or bake for 10-12 minutes until crispy.
  6. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
