Instructions

  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg and peanut butter until smooth.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just mixed.
  6. Scoop rounded balls onto baking sheets and flatten slightly with a fork.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
