- 1.5 lbs pork shoulder, cut into 2-inch chunks

- 6 cups water
- 2 cups shredded cabbage

Instructions
- Rinse the dried hominy under cold water and set aside.
- In a large pot over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic in oil until translucent (about 3 minutes).
- Add the pork chunks to the pot and brown on all sides (about 5 minutes).
