- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

- In another bowl, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the red gel food coloring until blended. Gradually fold in the dry mixture into the whipped egg whites.
- Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each macaron.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until macarons develop feet. Let cool completely before filling.
- For the filling, whip cream cheese and vanilla extract until smooth, then pair two macarons with the filling in between.
