  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla until frothy. Combine with dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
  4. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on wire racks.
  5. For frosting, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth. Pipe onto cooled cupcakes and top with strawberries or cherries.
