Description

Shamrock Cookies are a festive treat that bring joy to any celebration. With their vibrant green color and soft, chewy texture, they are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring
  • Powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder, then gradually combine with wet ingredients.
  5. Stir in green food coloring to achieve desired shade.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized mounds of dough onto prepared sheets, flatten slightly.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden; cool on wire racks.
