Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Sauté until pink and opaque (3-4 minutes), then remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, lower heat and add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth; add pasta water if too thick.
  5. Stir in cooked fettuccine and sautéed shrimp until well-coated in sauce.
  6. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan on top.
