- 9 lasagna noodles (standard or no-boil)
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 drop green food coloring
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped cream (lightly whipped)
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and lay flat on a clean kitchen towel.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Add green food coloring to the ricotta mixture, stirring until you achieve your desired shade of green.
- In a greased baking dish, spread a thin layer of the ricotta mixture on the bottom. Layer noodles over it and repeat until ingredients are used up, adding chocolate chips if desired.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes. Let cool completely before serving.
