  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, melt the butter; then whisk in eggs and vanilla until frothy.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed (a few lumps are okay).
  5. Fold in diced strawberries using a spatula.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares.
