Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat; let cool slightly before whisking in eggs one at a time and adding vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Fold dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in half of the chocolate chips, pour batter into the prepared pan, and sprinkle remaining chips on top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Allow cooling before slicing.
