  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  2. Place salmon fillets skin-side up in the marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add marinated salmon to the grill/pan skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes until crispy.
  5. Baste with leftover marinade while cooking.
  6. Flip gently and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish flakes easily.
