  • 1 cup kidney beans (canned, drained)
  • 1 cup black beans (canned, drained)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté chopped onions until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Stir in ground turkey, breaking it apart as it browns (about 6-8 minutes).
  3. Add diced bell peppers and cook for another 3-5 minutes until softened.
  4. Pour in canned tomatoes along with their juice; stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix in kidney beans and black beans; bring to a gentle boil before reducing heat to low.
  6. Cover pot and simmer for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors. Serve hot with optional sour cream on top.
