  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 2 tbsp whole milk

Instructions

  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
  5. Combine buttermilk and vanilla in a separate jug, then add this mixture to the butter mixture on low speed, alternating with dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. For the glaze, beat cream cheese until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and milk until desired consistency is reached.
  9. Cool the cake for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Drizzle with cream cheese glaze once completely cooled.
