Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust based on spice preference)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and ensure shrimp are thawed.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs until fluffy. Place panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  3. Coat each shrimp by dipping it first in the flour mixture, then in the egg wash, and finally into the panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot (test with a breadcrumb). Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown (about two minutes per side).
  5. While shrimp are frying, mix honey, Sriracha sauce, and lemon juice in a small bowl to prepare the sauce.
  6. Once cooked, transfer shrimp to paper towels to drain excess oil and drizzle with sauce before serving.
