  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter with granulated and brown sugars until combined. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and a pinch of salt until just mixed.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix in flour and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour half the brownie batter into the pan, dollop cookie dough on top, then cover with remaining brownie batter.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Cool slightly before cutting into squares; serve warm or at room temperature.
