  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain, reserving some pasta water.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; mix well before adding grated Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce until well coated. If too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Serve hot with extra Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
