  • 2 lbs bone-in beef short ribs
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 medium pear or apple, grated
  • 4 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated pear or apple, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Place short ribs in a large zip-lock bag or bowl; pour the marinade over them and ensure they are well-coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight preferred).
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C).
  4. Remove ribs from marinade and shake off excess. Grill each side for about 4-5 minutes until charred and cooked through.
