Method

Prepare the Zucchini
  1. Wash the zucchinis thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or pesticides.
  2. Using a mandoline slicer, slice the zucchinis into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick). This ensures even cooking and crispiness.
  3. Place the zucchini slices on a clean kitchen towel and sprinkle with salt. Let them sit for about 10 minutes. This process helps draw out excess moisture, making the chips crispier.
Season the Chips
  1. After 10 minutes, pat the zucchini slices dry with another kitchen towel to remove excess moisture and salt.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the dried zucchini slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss until all slices are evenly coated. The oil helps the seasoning stick and promotes crispiness.
Air Fry the Chips
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating ensures that the chips start cooking immediately, contributing to their crispiness.
  2. Arrange the zucchini slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  3. Air fry the zucchini slices for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Keep an eye on them as cooking times may vary based on the air fryer model.
  4. Once they are golden brown and crispy, remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
